My name is Lesly, and for the past twelve years, I have been part of the Foundation—a place that has profoundly shaped my life and my family’s. I have two siblings who, just like me, have benefited from the support and resources the Foundation provides. Thanks to their constant guidance and the support I received from the Sponsorship Program, I have finished my Nursing degree—a dream that once felt distant, but that has slowly become a reality through hard work and support.

I clearly remember the day I joined the Foundation, back when I was in sixth grade. From that moment, I knew this place would become something special for me. I always enjoyed the tutoring sessions; learning excited me, but I also loved sharing what I knew. Over time, I had the opportunity to become a tutor, teaching the children Language and Literature, as well as Math. To me, the children are a fundamental pillar: they inspire me, they remind me of the girl I once was, and they make me appreciate how far I’ve come. Being part of their learning process has been a beautiful experience that has taught me so much.

Now that I’ve completed my degree, I feel ready to find a job that will help my family and give back some of what I’ve received. I’m proud of my progress; my parents share that pride and encourage me to continue. It’s amazing how time flies—from a shy elementary girl with dreams to a young professional prepared for new challenges.

Today, I see myself as an inspiration to my siblings. In my efforts, they see an example, and through my story, I try to motivate them to pursue their own dreams.  I know I still have a long path ahead, but when I look back, I feel grateful, excited, and deeply blessed for everything I have lived.
