We love it when our students lead by example. Seven of our students were recognized recently for their stellar attendance in tutoring. Their discipline, dedication and commitment, and attitude are the keys to achieving their goals.
Two of these young ladies in particular deserve accolades. Yolanda, who has been faced with many academic challenges over the years, is now number one in her class in school which goes to show that her 100% tutoring attendance is paying off.
Isabella is another example of whom we are so proud. In the previous year, Isabella was at risk of not fulfilling the commitments required to be part of the EI program. This year, she turned around completely and is now a great example to all the other girls in the program with her perfect attendance in tutoring. She has become a student monitor within tutoring, and supports the other students with their assignments. Yolanda and Isabella have not only improved in their school and tutoring, they have also inspired the other girls with their commitment.
Friendship has also blossomed among this group of young ladies who love coming in daily to learn. While each has a very different life story and family situation, they have grown together as teenagers with a common passion for learning, growing, and succeeding. We are proud to empower students like these and are so proud of their achievements!
