Home visits significantly impacted 169 families in Granada and Santa Ana in 2024. Through 1,696 visits, we addressed health, economic, and family challenges, providing tailored support to vulnerable families. These visits secured active participation from parents and beneficiaries, delivering immediate help for health issues, mainly after Hurricane Sara caused severe flooding and diseases.

“The visits I have received in my home over the years have been a blessing. Each visit is a special moment where I feel heard, understood, and supported. My promoter’s visits are like a relaxing therapy session—a time to reflect on my daily life, seek advice, and, most importantly, relieve stress through good conversations and laughter.
Thanks to this wonderful initiative, I receive the help I need and the emotional support that fills me with hope and gives me the strength to keep going, even in the most challenging times. Knowing that we are not alone and that people are willing to lend a helping hand truly changes lives, and mine is proof of that.” Martha Teresa.

The visits also supported the emotional well-being of students in the care of relatives due to parental migration, reducing the impact on their academic performance. A total of 169 families have enjoyed the benefits of this outreach, supporting 510 direct and 1,320 indirect beneficiaries. This effort has fostered a strong sense of trust, empowering families to enhance their living conditions. Among these families, 22% hold formal jobs, while 63% are engaged in informal work or are currently seeking employment, and 15% depend on remittances to make ends meet.
