Soccer transcends being simply a 90-minute game on a grass field. From a philosophical perspective, it is a sport that offers valuable lessons about life itself. It teaches discipline, teamwork, respect and ethics, core values intertwined with the game's philosophy.
We successfully participated in the first soccer coaching workshop with Tigo Nicaragua, the Real Madrid Foundation. Coaches from Colegio Americano Nicaragüense, Colegio Alemán Nicaragüense, Colegio Teresiano, Keiser University, Fútbol sin Fronteras, Sor María Romero, and ADEINIC attended this event.
The main purpose of this workshop was to strengthen the formation of values through soccer. Topics related to philosophy and training planning were addressed, focusing on promoting essential values. During the workshop, the philosophy and work methodology were presented and discussed, marking a significant change in the traditional approach focusing mainly on sports performance. Instead, the importance of values formation was highlighted, which is considered to be of greater benefit to participants and their families, with the aim of positively influencing their lives beyond the sporting arena.
The workshop was attended by 40 children, divided into 20 students per day, during two training sessions. These sessions allowed the proposed methodology to be implemented, and the different coaches interacted directly with the beneficiaries of the Socio-Sports School.

Thanks to this workshop and the training sessions with the children, the coaches could transition from traditional practices to the model promoted by the Real Madrid Foundation. A meeting was held to plan the content and implementation of the methodology studied, thus consolidating the commitment to the integral formation of young people through sports.
