The Bibliobus Bertolt Brecht is a mobile library that visits rural communities to promote the power of literacy. Brecht first arrived in Santa Ana in 2015—piquing each student’s sense of curiosity and helping them to build a love of books.
The kids now wait enthusiastically for the Bookmobile’s monthly visits. Students have the opportunity to borrow and read a book of their choice and engage in activities such as skits and storytelling to share what they’ve learned. The experience is truly unforgettable.
Most importantly, the Bookmobile has made a real impact on children’s love of learning.
EI has found that students have begun to express themselves more fluently, which has been amazing to observe in their conversations and interactions.
